National Library Week Contest - Vote for Greece
3/9/2010
During National Library Week, April 11 – 17, the Rochester Regional Library Council (RRLC) will recognize three great libraries in the Rochester area: one public library; one academic or special library; and one school library.
Nominate the Greece Public Library to be the "RRLC Library of the Year". Visit the RRLC webpage at http://www.rrlc.org and click on the Nominate My Library button.
Library Leadership says great libraries are characterized by the following:
• They provide superior service
• They train and re-train their staff
• They provide education and entertainment
• They serve both the weakest and the strongest among their constituents
• They use virtual tools to offer a full range of timely information and services
• They market all of their services
• They are well supported by their communities or parent institutions
Our panel of distinguished judges: Bernard Margolis, State Librarian; Nikki Rudd, reporter, WHEC 10 NBC; Ellen Stoll Walsh, children’s author and storyteller (“Mouse Count” and “Mouse Paint”) will make the final decision from among the entries submitted.
Each winning library will be recognized with a plaque and a $100 gift card, and will be recognized at the RRLC Annual Meeting in June.
Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 26, 2010. Please visit the RRLC webpage at http://www.rrlc.org and click on the Nominate My Library button for a nomination form and instructions for submitting your entries. Entries may also be emailed to rrlc@rrlc.org, faxed to 585.223.7712 or sent by US mail to:
