Library Receives "We the People Bookshelf" Grant

For the third consecutive year, Greece Public Library has been awarded the “We the People Bookshelf,” a collection of classic hardcover books for young readers. The National Endowment for the Humanities in cooperation with the American Library Association has selected 4.000 libraries including Greece to receive the Bookshelf this year. It is hoped that the titles chosen will lead library users to a deeper appreciation of our country through the study and understanding of its history and culture.
This year, Greece Public Library has also received forty large, color reproductions of selected American art masterpieces as part of the Picturing America program. These art works, also awarded by the NEH, are designed to enhance awareness of our country’s artistic heritage.
